What does the writing on the plaque in the picture say?

The image on this page is a plaque on the base of a statue in Berlin, which commemorates the German poet Heinrich Heine. The right half of the plaque displays the following quotation from Heine:

(Heinrich Heine * 13.12.1797 in Düsseldorf. † 17.2.1856 in Paris.)

[“We do not grasp the idea, rather the idea grasps us and subjugates us and whips us into the arena, that we fight for it like constrained gladiators.” (Heinrich Heine)]
